Description
29inch 15khz Model No. KV-XA29M31 Sony Trinitron TV
Includes the stand and the remote
A BEAUTIFUL set including Component YPbPr, S-Video, and Composite input. Compatible with PAL and NTSC. The stand is missing its glass door, at least I'm guessing it used to have one. Good working condition, some slight blur is noticeable on text near the sides of the screen, A common issue with flat glass screens like this.
Selling because I don't use it.

What would you reckon a PS2 with component look like on this? I picked up a 21inch trinitro (composite only) and my eyes hurt after 30 minutes of playing, everything is so blurry lol c**********w (251 • 10:54 am, Sun, 11 May )Component looks great. The photos I took are using a PS2 with component cables. Component looks so much better than composite imo. Colours, clarity, that composite video 'compression' look etc. You'll still get that interlace flicker on 480i content like PS2 games, but no flicker for 240p content like PS1 games. The photos I took with games on don't do it justice, looks much better in person, I couldn't figure out how to sync my camera shutter speed with the TV refresh rate. janik343 (124 • Sunday, 11 May 2025 )Greats thanks! I'm interested in this :) Any chance you could give me the dimensions of the TV with the stand? I obviously can't pick up myself in my small car so got to ask around for help. Thanks c**********w (251 • 11:18 am, Sun, 11 May )TV=580h*770w*510d. Stand(Without wheels)=430h*790w*570d. When I bought this, it could fit in my Sedan, TV back seat, Stand in boot. I had to take the stands wheels off for it to fit. I don't remember which Sedan I had at the time, Would've been Mazda Familia or the larger Toyota Camry. janik343 (124 • Sunday, 11 May 2025 )Thanks so much! I just tried playing my PS2 on my Plasma TV through component and it plays under 576i res and it still hurts my eyes... Do you reckon it'll look better under the CRT with component? c**********w (251 • 12:14 pm, Sun, 11 May )It'll definitely look better on the CRT, Standard Definition content will look better natively on a Standard Definition set, rather than being upscaled on a High Definition set, also that upscaling technique can differ greatly from model to model. As for your sore eyes hurting, I can't say, some people get sore eyes from CRTs, some people get sore eyes from Plasmas etc. And even on CRTs some people can get sore eyes with 50Hz, but be ok with 60Hz. Personally I don't get sore eyes either way. janik343 (124 • Sunday, 11 May 2025 )Thanks for the elaborate reply - you definitely know your stuff! For some reason, my eyes can handle watching a full movie on that same CRT. However, playing Underground 2 becomes a bit too much for it lol. c**********w (251 • 12:43 pm, Sun, 11 May )Interesting, if watching a movie on a CRT is fine but gaming is not, maybe its something else, maybe you are forgetting to blink in those intense gaming sessions? I don't know janik343 (124 • Sunday, 11 May 2025 )
