Each kit includes: – FX6 loupe with +4 glass diopter – TPU eyecup – Hinge immobiliser bracket – Rod clamp thumb screw – Genuine BlueStar Oval fullback chamois eye cushion – Spare set of o-rings for attachment

The custom parts are printed from PLA+ for a good balance of durability and rigidity. The eyecup is printed from 95a TPU for predictable flex. Assembled without any adhesives, and replacement parts can be ordered as print-on-demand should they ever be needed.

The loupe has no focus adjustment, but out of half a dozen people that have tried it – all have been able to see a clear image through the glass diopter. The eyecup is also oversized to accomodate using the loupe while wearing prescription eyeglasses.

The hinge immobiliser was designed to put the pivot point closer to the eyepiece for better rotation. It also features a cable clip for the LCD cable. It completely disables all rotation from the hinge, and rotation adjustment is done with the LCD rod clamp. The bracket is completely toolless, and can be attached and removed in seconds (as can the loupe).

For those needing access to the LCD touch features for autofocus touch tracking etc – I am working on a second loupe housing that will have a hole in the bottom close to the screen for finger access. This will be available as an affordable user interchangable part when the design is completed.

Note: These are small batch 3D printed parts, not injection molded production parts. There may be minor aesthetic imprefections, however items will function as described. 3D printed parts are thermoplastics and can be susceptible to heat damage – however, the temperatures required to cause problems would also pose serious risk to your camera equipment, and in practice should be a non-issue in normal use.
