SEGA After Burner Deluxe 1987

Here it is, the king of the 80's arcade! As seen being played by Edward Furlong in the movie Terminator 2!

To my knowledge, this is the only remaining example in New Zealand. I have not seen another during my 25 years in the hobby. I have owned this for quite a while and spent an irrational amount of effort/funds tidying it up to this state, which includes:

• Repainted and touched up the whole cabinet
• Lots of metal parts stripped and powder coated, including the coin tower and other large cabinet panels
• Had the seat professionally reupholstered with cushioning
• New T-Molding from the USA
• Had the movement motors professionally rebuilt
• New speakers
• New LED Light in sign area
• New Power Supply unit
• Replaced the 4 cabinet rollers (big job!)
• I had the rear panel and warning decals professionally redrawn and printed
• New Locks
• New 24v motor fan
• New rubber Matts
• New Stainless bolts
• New Game service manual printed and bound

I also had the game PCB roms upgraded to the 'Enhanced' edition, which includes additional music and play features.

Its an awesome spectacle and heaps of fun. The surround-sound system inside the cabinet is excellent and adds to immersion. Here is a game play video of it in action:

The side to side movement is working fine. The forwards/backwards is also working, though the pitch wheel is slipping, so I have disabled that motor presently. I read online that some people have used grip tape to remedy this, so it may just need a bit of experimenting. Really, its a great experience as is, so I've been happy to run it in this state.

Pick up is in St Albans, or I can work in with the buyer's freight company.

This will probably be you only chance to ever buy this game. It really belongs in an arcade museum.
