Hi, you seem to know your stuff with these. Do they slow down as they age, in terms of booting up and returning to menu? I’ve got a 3DS I bought new in mint condition but it’s frustratingly slow to turn on, exit out of games and turn off. The screen takes ages to change and the light stays on for ages with a blank screen on start/shut down. Cheers l***2 (48 • 11:52 pm, Mon, 12 MayHi from what I know the age doesn't affect them, but since when they released, 2/4GB SD cards were the norm, so if you pair them up with 64GB nowadays they have to scan 16-32x more data which they weren't necessarily designed to do, hence the difference in boot-up times. The DS also do this, but to a lesser degree. The 3DS shutdown have always been slow, but can be sped up with custom firmware mods.
