Ivory Tower, a studio made from pieces of development teams who have worked on Need for Speed, Test Drive Unlimited, are working on their first racing game. The Crew, published by Ubisoft, is an open world racing game that requires a persistent internet connection. Playable by between one and eight players, The Crew is mean to fill the space in-between Forza Horizon and the now retired Burnout franchise.

The Crew takes place in the United States and claims they mean that the entire nation will be represented. That's not to imply a 1:1 scale, but still they say that it will take a full 90 minutes to drive from one coast to the other. As players explore they'll discover missions, or otherwise they can progress normally through the single-player campaign.
