Hi there, thank you for viewing my auction, these are my NZ made ( Design registered ) footrests, I originally designed and made these for my wife who has MS. The walking frame is a great mobility aide for the elderly and disabled, my wife used one especially around shopping malls, the park, the waterfront and also around the home. One of the symptoms of MS is fatigue so sometimes she had to stop and sit down on the walker to rest, but on some occasions she was too tired to carry on, but I couldn't push her along as her feet would drag on the ground so I had to go back to the car and get her wheelchair so we could carry on with our trip. I thought there must be an answer to this problem but I couldn't find anything out there on the market that didn't cost a fortune, so I designed and made these footrests, they allow my wife to rest her feet off the ground allowing me to freely push her along and give us the confidence to go further, just like using a transit wheelchair. They are easy to install and fold up out of the way when not needed. They are designed to fit the most common walker/stroller with a 25mm tubular frame as per photos. Why pay hundreds of dollars for a transit wheelchair when you can transform your walker into a temporary transit wheelchair (only for use on smooth even surfaces). They are also ideal for use in shopping malls, retirement homes, rest homes and DHB'S where caregivers, nurses and relatives can freely move elderly residents and patients alike around
