The trash can should fit in pretty much any cup holder, you can see it's narrow at the bottom and widens at the top. This should allow for insertion into different sized openings while also creating enough volume for scraps of paper, Candy wrappers or sometimes a paper handkerchief.

It's made entirely of silicone, but is sufficiently stable so it doesn't wobble around. The lid has to be opened upwards to throw in and then closes again automatically, which I personally like. Open it up and leave it open Not. Cleaning should be just as easy, wash with dish soap and let dry. If you're wondering whether the silicone will attract lint and dust, yes, but not excessively.

Compared to what else is offered here under "Car trash can", this one is definitely a recommendation, both visually and functionally.
