BEAUTIFUL one-off set, rare yet practical for that lucky child or grandchild. Would also work well for home-stagers who specialise in character homes.

Both perfectly proportioned, the desk lid lifts up to reveal a generous storage compartment for all those colouring books, crayons, you know the stuff! The chair comes with a custom-fit cushion with ties, made from 100% natural calico cotton & a calico inner stuffed with unspun NZ wool (not pictured).

So don't throw away money on cheap ugly pine, plastic or mdf, invest in beautiful NZ native timber furniture that will last longer than you & will appreciate in value over time. Let the kids grow up with these then pass them down the generations.

The Chair (1800s Kauri)

• Condition is very good for age, moderate wear to the seat & unusual printed seat pattern (see pic 5)
• Only change to original is 4 recently-added rimu button plugs to cover the screw heads on the brackets (see pic 6)
• Measures: 86cm floor to top of back, 33cm floor to top of seat, 36cm seat depth, 39cm wide at front of seat, 32.5cm wide at back of seat

The Desk: (Legs & body 1800s Rimu, Top 1900s Rimu)

• Condition is excellent for age
• Was a piano stool for 100+ years. Legs, front, sides & back are original Rimu
• At some point, the leg joints have been reinforced inside the desk (see pic 12). I've left those tho you could remove them if you wanted; & the veneered lid has been replaced with solid near-flawless Heart Rimu reclaimed from an 1900s chest of drawers.
• Measures: 55.5cm floor to top, 46cm floor to top of leg well, 61cm wide, 37.5cm deep
