When he arrived, he found the land already claimed, but Ruaeo would not be pushed aside. Through skill and courage, he carved out his own place, and his name lives on in the stories and whakapapa of his people.

Remeber to be "extremely careful" with your Taonga! It is stone and could easily be chipped or worse, broken! Never place down on hard surfaces or leave on the counter/dresser etc, once it comes off it should go straight into its box. All who wear your Taonga release their mana into the mauri of your Taonga therefore giving your Taonga its own wairua for guidance and protection for generations to come.
