Description
A creative abstract design in classic Marsden flower jade - this is a type of New Zealand pounamu. The stone is mostly a dark rich green with some typical yellowish streaks.
This is a symbolic carving that represents the connection of family or whanau and is a one off original design. This is a strong and substantial carving. Each side is different, one side has a curve at the bottom and the other side is flat, it can be worn either way.
40mm high, 65 mm at the widest point across, and a substantial 7mm deep. Check out the image of the pendant being worn.
The 2 beads allow the cord to be adjusted by sliding along. This means that the carving can be hung high close to the neck or lower on the chest. There are 2 beads that sits on top of the pendant to help keep the cord in place and for aesthetics.

I have been carving jade and other hard stones for 30 years and am still passionate as ever and love creating taonga for people other than wear. Cheers, Sharon Painter-Arps
