Click the READ MORE link if browsing auctions on a mobile device for more info about the item. ____________________________ This is a lovely vintage piece with some decent age to it - and a very generous length of 52cm! The pearls are real (cultivated, most likely salt-water) of good quality.

Each pearl is approximately 6mm in diameter. Condition wise, it's got some age appropriate wear, including on some of the pearls where the smooth surface layer has rubbed through on a few of them in small spots (please see close up). The clasp is clearly stamped and has been tested. It does have a maker mark on it "A" - however I'm not sure what company this is associated with.

Faux pearl pieces might look every bit as good, but there's nothing like the feeling of receiving a real pearl necklace!
