My GP was very impressed with both the miniaturised form factor and the accuracy of the device when he took parallel and simultaneous readings (with His Big-Boy'z Cuff, versus my 'D2') - He was within 2% of my readings during calibration. The D2 will also detect Atrial Fibrillation ( AF or a-fib) or the irregular, often rapid heart rate that points to poor upper coordination of the heart's beat (out of coordination with the ventricular cycle) > Long-story short, the irregularities of Your ECG on the watch are diagnostic to a Doctor.
