Following the death of Old MacPherson, patriarch of the hallowed House of MacPherson Tweed Company, an arrogant, pushy efficiency expert, who, heaven forbid, is not only American, but a woman, is brought in to sort things out. The staffers are horrified and the once deferential Mr Martin devises a series of cunning ploys to bring about her downfall.
