Description
Under the baton of Karen Grylls, the National Youth Choir left our shores to celebrate their 20th anniversary...and indeed they did by winning the prestigious "Choir Of The World" award at Llangollen in Wales. This fabulous recording celebrates the event, commencing with Te Wehi Whanau's "Haere Mai Nga Iwi" & running through Rossini's "O Salutaris Hostia", pieces by Poulenc, Lukas, Vaughan Williams to mention a few & finishing on a light note with William Dawson's "Ain'-a That Good News". Thoroughly enjoyable & a proud moment for New Zealand. R.M.
