Teddy Tahu Rhodes, a native of New Zealand, teams with an Australian orchestra and Swedish conductor in this new disc mixing Mozart opera arias with a few of his orchestral pieces.

Teddy Tahu Rhodes singing career is going from strength to strength. Hugely popular in New Zealand where he was born, and Australia, where opera aficionados adore him, he is now being sought after by opera companies around the world. After meeting with critical acclaim after his American debut at the San Francisco Opera, he is also due to sing in both Philadelphia and Dallas as well as returning to San Francisco.

"Ferociously gifted," was how the San Francisco Chronicle described Rhodes when he debuted with San Francisco Opera in the world premiere of Dead Man Walking, "… a voice that boomed forth with easy resonance, Rhodes perfectly embodied the doomed man's combination of arrogance and terror."

This is his first long-awaited solo release, an all-Mozart program of famous arias from his operas, Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte and Die Zauberflöte. Also included are orchestral the works Adagio and Fugue in C minor, 6 German Dances and Minuet in C major.
