Description
All song sales must be completed in Trademe.co.nz Business agreeance and methodologies. This sale is for the full copyright ownership transfer of the original song "Children Of The Four Lost Winds / Ka Tae Te Po"
A dramatic song originally written in English and translated to Te Reo, fully owned by WGWiperi © 1992 - 2 x verses in Te Reo and 2 x verses in NZ English
This song represents a Christchurch tragedy in the early 1990's. I wrote this song as a means to process the hurt, loss, anger and despair this experience brought to my life.
The song is dramatic with a melancholy flow through out. Ka Tae Te Po was always intended to be a path of healing through self reflective language and resolute vibrational expressions. Once written in NZ English I requested it be translated to Te Reo. Uncle Fred Rakuraku (Tuhoe affiliation) agreed to translate Children Of The Four Lost Winds to Te Reo. Sheryl Morrison and David O'connell (students of Uncle Fred) tweaked the song to it's current translation. I Walter G Wiperi still remain the only copyright owner of Children Of The Four Lost Winds / Ka Tae Te Po.
Ka tae te po Mate ana te tangata Kua ngaro hoki oku tamariki Aue tawhiti atu te tirohanga aue te poraru E kore I tae pono
When the night time comes people die And children lose their way Oh so vague and so unsure and truth seems to have no say
