Description

The Novation AFX Station is a limited edition Bass Station II monophonic analogue synth that was designed with Aphex Twin. If you don't know who Aphex Twin is, I'll wait whilst you go and search for his music. Don't worry, I'll still be here.

From the Novation site, 'AFX Station packs all the same features and Bass Station II, including two oscillators, a multimode filter, amp and filter modulation, step sequencing and an arpeggiator'. It's even got an 'Aphex Twin-approved look! There's much more to read about this synth at: https://downloads.novationmusic.com/novation/synthesisers/afx-station.

I purchased this towards the end of 2020, soon after it was released. I never really used it much, but the AFX mode was very cool to play around with. If you're just getting into synths, this could be a good option as it sounds good with little effort. Or, if someone in your life is a massive Aphex Twin nerd, getting this as a gift for them could save you from having to hear (again) how Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 is an 'unheralded work of genius'.

This comes with the original box (it has a little wear from moving around), a power cable and a USB-A-to-USB-B cable.
