For sale is a rare, original red Roland SH-101, manufactured in the early 1980s and revered for its thick, punchy analog tone. This is the real deal—not a boutique reissue or digital emulator. If you know, you know: the SH-101 is legendary, and this one is the coveted red variant, far less common than the grey or blue versions.

I’ve owned this synth for 20 years, during which it has lived either in smoke-free studio spaces or storage. It’s in good working condition and sounds massive—gritty bass, sharp leads, and classic sequences. The CV/GATE outputs function perfectly, and I’ve been using it successfully via MIDI with a Novation Bass Station Rack (also for sale—see my other listings).

Please note: The LFO trigger via the modulation lever appears to no longer be functional - this may have been the case since I bought it and I just didn't notice. All other functions appear to be working well. Due to age, a service would be beneficial (slider cleaning, contact check), but this unit is musically inspiring and ready to play.
