Description
Classic 1U Novation Bass Station Rack analogue monosynth module. Two DCOs, switchable 12/24 dB filter, ADSR envelopes, LFO with MIDI clock sync, built-in MIDI to CV/Gate conversion, external audio in, and 60 user memories. Powers up and displays programs correctly (see photos). This is the rack version of the 90s Bass Station that helped kick off the analogue revival.
Widely cited as a budget route to TB-303-ish lines and SH-101/Moog-ish tones, plus it doubles as a handy MIDI-CV utility in a studio rack.
Production status: discontinued (original release 1994; replaced by Super Bass Station in 1997).
Key Features: * Analogue mono synth, 2× DCOs with saw/pulse, 12/24 dB LPF * MIDI-syncable LFO, 60 user memories, LCD for quick editing * MIDI-to-CV/Gate and CV/Gate-to-MIDI conversion built in * External audio input to run other gear through the filter * 1U 19-inch rackmount format, ideal for compact studio rigs ?
Condition: Used. Faceplate shows light rack rash around the ears and some general cosmetic wear consistent with age. Display and LEDs working; photos show program readout. Includes PSU and printed manual as pictured. CV/Gate outs work to control other synths (I used it with an SH-101).
Included Accessories: * 9V power supply (as pictured) * Original user manual
Selling as downsizing.
