This is my original Roland JP-8000 that I’ve owned since new (1998). It’s been a faithful first synth, and it’s still working well in my tests. There is cosmetic wear from years of use — scuffs, marks, slightly yellowed keys/knobs in places — but everything is original (no replaced knobs or sliders).

One caveat: I’m not certain of the internal battery (likely a CR2032) status — I did replace it once long ago, but it may need replacing again for full memory backup reliability (a relatively simple fix).

It powers up, responds to keys, and seems to function as expected in my checks. Comes with just the power cable (IEC type). No original manual, packaging, or extras — but the manual is downloadable online. I will package securely for shipping or consider pick up (I'm in the Far North).

This synth is beloved in the electronic music community, especially for its Supersaw / trance / analog-modelling character, and has a strong following.
