Well, this is the glorious peak of The Beatles & George Martin’s studio wizardry; the lush, effervescent roller-coaster ride that is 1967’s Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band! John’s kaleidoscopic ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’, Ringo’s chumly ‘With a Little Help from my Friends’, George’s epic love fest ‘Within You, Without You’ and Paul’s ebullient, chiming ‘Getting Better’.

That’s just a hint, because the whole thing is a marvelous unique creation, and to end with the haunting masterpiece that is “A Day in the Life” just makes me wonder how anyone created something so perfect.
