Mea Female Approx 2 years Fostered in Birkenhead, Auckland.
Beautiful Mea reminds us of a minature Puma. Beguiling, athletic, playful, graceful AND just a bit gorgeously chonky! She is very loving and enjoys head rubs and pats. She’ll even give you a tap with her paw to ask you to continue if you take an unscheduled break! Being a pretty young cat herself, she enjoys playtime and would benefit from a family who can provide her with some stimulation (she is quite easily pleased and likes all toys). We feel she would be happier around school aged children (she hasn't been fostered with children)
Sweet Mea was found on the Ellerslie/Panmure highway with her 6 kittens in tow. Likely dumped and definitely previously someone’s pet. At the cattery she quickly let us know she was a friendly gal; just confused and scared. With her own kittens fostered by another rescue, Mea was fascinated by the other kittens at Brave Paws and responded to them in a very maternal fashion. The kittens would follow her about and snuggle into her at nap time, hence her name (Mumma) Mea. With most of those little ones adopted, Mea has dropped the 'Mumma' role and settled into her own skin (and found her voice - lots of cute chirrups and chats!). She’s confident and pretty sure of herself around the other cats (and would likely be fine with a cat of a similar personality). Mea may also be ok with a docile pillow shaped dog with slow, correct introductions.
She is used to having indoor/outdoor flow - so that is a must after the initial settling in period.
All our cats are desexed, microchipped and is up to date with flea and worm treatments.
Please note we do not operate on a first come first served basis and will wait to find the right forever home for each cat or kitten. We prefer to home cats in the Auckland area to avoid stressful long distance travel.
