This gorgeous girl was the only adult in amongst 20 kittens up for adoption at a recent adoptathon held by another rescue group.

As the crowds swarmed around the cages ooh'ing and ahh'ing over the kittens, no one - not one person - stopped by Mandy's cage to admire her. And that broke our heart. Long story short, Mandy came under CatsnCare's wing with her new Honorary Aunty Helen swooping her up and beating a hasty path to our Rescue Cattery.

And what a gem this sweetheart is! She clearly has some Russian Blue in her lineage somewhere - look at those chiselled cheekbones and that long, lean body. Even the colour - she's a beautiful blue tortie - speak to her aristocratic ancestors.

And then there's her amazing personality! The photos say it all but suffice to say she is a super friendly girl, a lap cat who is very relaxed and gets on just fine with other cats and even dogs. We don't know much about her past except that she had kittens and she is young but we do know about her future - we will find her a fabulous family who dote on her and ensure she is loved and appreciated for the rest of her days.
