I don’t usually share the “sob stories” of rescue. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of them. But life is heavy enough without a rescue page banging on about more miserable shit. That said… the only positive spin I can put on this little soul is that she’s safe now. And maybe, hopefully, someone will see her potential and fall in love enough to help save her.
Meet Tink.
Tink is only 3–4 months old and was surrendered to us after being found trapped in someone’s shed. We don’t know how long she’d been there, or how she got in, but her face tells the story of how desperately she tried to escape. She’s got the scars to prove it.
We don’t think Tink is a wild cat—she’s far too soft for that—but she terrified. And my heart breaks imagining what she’s been through to end up like this. She eats like she’s never been fed, which is probably close to the truth.
Despite it all, she’s already come such a long way. The swelling on her face has gone down, tiny hairs are starting to grow back, and the light is just beginning to return to her eyes. She may not yet have the “pretty face” that matches her gentle soul, but it’s on its way.
Tink has been spayed, microchipped, flea- and worm-treated, and had her first vaccination.
What she needs now is a patient, loving home, someone willing to give her the time and kindness to heal, both inside and out.
She’s currently in foster care in Glenbrook. Her adoption fee is $150.
If you could be the one to give Tink the happily-ever-after she deserves, please message us with a bit about yourself and the kind of home you’d offer this very special girl.
