Description
11 months old
Sooty is a very active boy who loves running around and playing with toys until he is exhausted. He prefers high vantage points from where he can survey his surroundings or lazing in the sun on the window sill. He likes to cuddle up at night while he drifts off to sleep, purring contentedly.
Sooty is FIV+. FIV is a viral infection that affects cats. The virus infects the cells of the cat’s immune system and compromises the immune system making them vulnerable to other (secondary) infections.
Owning an FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive cat is manageable with proper care and precautions. While FIV weakens a cat's immune system, it doesn't mean a shortened lifespan or a life of constant illness. With indoor living, regular veterinary checkups, and a focus on preventative healthcare, FIV+ cats can live long and fulfilling lives.
Sooty will require an indoor only home. FIV only affects cats and cannot be passed to humans or other animal species.
All our cats are: Desexed Wormed Flea-treated Vaccinated Microchipped come with a Collar and ID tag.
We ask for an adoption fee of $150 per kitten to help cover our costs.
