Description
21 months old
Thorin was trapped at the local rubbish dump where he had been scavenging to survive. This boy has clearly been around people and been severely let down by them. Not desexed or microchipped and left to fend for himself on the streets. He is SO grateful to have been rescued. Thorin is a super-smoocher (his photos are blurry because he's too busy smooching to pose for a photo). He loves to sleep on your bed by your feet, smooch around your legs, sit on your lap for cuddles or be carried around in your arms. When he feels safe with you he loves lying on his back and having belly rubs. He is incredibly gentle and loving, and his fur is very soft and silky.
Thorin needs a calm, quiet home with no dogs and no young children, where he will have a safe outside space. This could be a secure catio or a fenced garden where he will be safe from roaming dogs. He would be happiest as an only cat but he can also happily co-exist with other friendly cats. He has a lot of love to give and will be a fantastic companion for the right person.
Thorin is house-trained, desexed, microchipped, up-to-date with flea and worm treatment, and will have his first vaccination before going to his new home. He has had a mild case of cat flu (runny nose) but has recovered well by himself without the need for medication.
If you think you can give this lovely boy the forever home he deserves, please contact me.
Thorin is currently in foster care in Kawerau, Bay of Plenty. Pet transport options are available throughout NZ (at the cost of the adopter).
