Gavin has settled into home life so well, he is lovely to handle and loves to please.

Gavin is the cuddliest boy you could wish to meet! He has the friendliest nature, and absolutely adores people. He is very gentle with the young kids he has met on walks, and loves to play and run with other dogs.

Gavin has explored the forest, beach, open fields, stop banks, been to the pub, cafe and socialised at a parkrun. Everyone that has met him says how beautifully natured he is!

He is energetic, loves walks, toys, food, games, playing tug, and training. He is quick learner, and has learned a lot by watching the two female dogs he is fostered with. He can't wait to jump in the car to go for walks, goes nicely on a harness and is very responsive (although will pull if he really wants to sniff something).

He walks off-lead beautifully where it is safe, stays close by, or runs with our dogs.

Ideally, he would love another dog to live with, and for someone to be around for most or part of the day as he thrives on company and engagement. Has met horses and a cat - was a good boy.

House-trained and sleeps inside on his bed or the sofa at night, and loves a cuddle on the sofa of an evening.

Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$300 - neutered, micro-chipped - NZCAR, registered, fully vaccinated, Flea/worm up to date.

South Island adoptions only. Owner occupied homes. Stock fenced properties require a fully secure containment area. Residential - 6ft fencing. We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters.
