4 Years old Male Bullmastiff cross.

About: I’m a happy, independent guy who loves walks, a good run, playing with other dogs, cuddles, being outdoors, drives in the car and pretending to be a guard dog even though I wouldnt hurt a fly.

When my person is away, I like to patrol the property and relax on the lawn or driveway. When my person returns I feel so happy I might spin in circles.

Even though Im quite a big dog I am a bit of a twinkle toes and have a talent for being fast & nimble.

My person tells me often how wonderful, patient and gentle I am around children.

I have grown up living with other dogs and just want to play.

I like to feel like Im on duty as guardian of your home, you will feel safe at night with me in your family.

My nature as protector extends to Birds, their eggs and fruit trees, I chase away cats and possums and would prefer a cat free home.

Background: I was originally purchased from a petshop in palmerston North and missed out on life experience as a pup due to being kept indoors until I was dropped off at the dog pound, but I was rescued into long term respite over the past 2 years and have gained much confidence and life experience both on and off leash in a home with children, sheep, horses and pigs and other dogs.

I’d be happy as a solo dog or with other dogs who just want a companion to play with.

I bond deeply with my humans and respond well to direction or guidance however I am best suited for a leader experienced in large breed dogs who knows how to lead in a wise & caring way. Physical force will not work with me.
