Boss is our 13 year old Huntaway, he's a retired working dog. We took him in a couple years ago when our neighbour had no more work for him. We're moving farms soon and unfortunately can't take him with us.

Looking for someone who will give Boss a lovely last few years of his life and spoil him with cuddles and attention. He's well trained and pretty intelligent.

He grew up on beef and sheep farms. He's been on our dairy farm for the last couple years. He has an incredibly sweet nature and would sit and be pet all day if he could.

He doesn't officially work anymore but we still take him on the farm and he'll bark at the cows and bring them in when he feels like it. Other than that he takes naps on the back of the quad or in the dairy shed. We can also leave him in the yard at home with our other dogs and he gets along just fine with them. He sleeps a lot, wanders around the yard and chews on bones. He's great with kids and is indifferent to our cat. He is used to having lots of space and is outdoor dog, although we bring him inside once in a while and have never had any problems.

He's in good health for an elderly dog, his teeth aren't great but other than that he hasn't had any health issues we are aware of. He's also been neutered. We live in West Otago if you'd like to come visit him before you decide if he's for you.
