Joe is a tall, striking 3-year-old retired greyhound with a shiny black coat and classic tuxedo markings. He’s settled beautifully into foster life and is now ready to find his forever home. Joe is respectful and kind to his 13-year-old foster sister, a tripaw, and enjoys a playful game of chase around the garden with his 11-year-old foster sister.

Although he’s a big boy, Joe is a dream on the lead and sticks close to his person, making walks a pleasure. He’s toilet trained and crate trained, though often prefers the comfort of stretching out on a dog bed. Joe loves his soft toys and enjoys a gentle game of fetch or cuddling up with his favourites — he’s getting quite the collection and seems to think teddies are essential to retirement!

Friendly and polite, Joe wins hearts wherever he goes; everyone who meets him falls for his quiet charm and affectionate nature. He finds cats a bit too exciting, so will need a cat-free home.

Joe could be left alone during working hours as long as he gets a walk and some company when you’re home. He’s gentle with children, affectionate without being demanding, and likely to form a deep bond with his person. He loves a warm spot near his human to relax, ideally with a teddy or two close by.

Joe is currently in foster in Westport, but he’s open to relocating for the right home — especially one that appreciates a well-dressed gentleman with a soft heart and a mild teddy obsession.
