Max is a 5.5 year old, neutered, NZ Heading Dog X - you can see possibly greyhound in him. He's lean and lanky, weighs 25 kgs and stands 62cm at the shoulder.

Max is a quiet, chilled out dog who loves laying in the sun or in front of the fire during winter. He knows his basic commands, a few tricks and walks nicely on the lead. Gets on well with other dogs at the park and has lived with another dog (female).

Fine with loud noises, fireworks, gunshots and thunder.

He has lovely food manners, will wait until told he can "eat". No food aggression with our other dog. Loves any food, a great fan of fresh crispy vegetables and eggs too.

He sleeps in his crate at night but he's quite comfortable on the sofa when allowed.

He has a strong prey drive so NO cats, pet birds or small furry animals. Unless you have a wild rabbit problem, then he's suitable.
MAx has lived with a teenager but has a definite dislike of small children (something he came with) and hasn't really had any exposure to them. A behavioralist could help with these issues.

Fully vaccinated including kennel cough and lepto. He is happy to lay there and have his nails trimmed when needed and loves being towelled dried.

He will come with his large crate, canvas with pure wool inner bed, fleece jacket, bowl, lead etc.
