Description
14 months old
Meet Ziggy, a ball of energy who adores walks, water, fetch, and playing with other dogs. She is microchipped, desexed, fully vaccinated.
Ziggy is super smart and highly trainable. She knows sit, down, stay, mat, crate, up, off, and sits at street corners when we tell her to stop. She sleeps in her crate overnight and is fully toilet trained. Her recall is a work in progress- she’s pretty good without distractions but gets excited if she spots another dog. Loose-lead walking is also improving; she just loves saying hello!
Ziggy can be body-sensitive when nervous, especially at the vet or groomer and currently needs to be muzzled for visits. We’ve been working hard using cooperative care techniques and "happy visits" to the vet & groomer to help her build positive experiences.
She is possessive of stolen “treasures” like socks, tea towels, paper and tissues. With clear boundaries and the help of a force-free trainer (focused on "drop it" and "leave it"), she has made good progress but this would need to be continued. We can pass on everything we have learned so far to new owners plus trainer’s details.
Ziggy would thrive with: A confident, experienced owner Plenty of space to run and play Strong leadership, structure, and ongoing positive training A child-free home A confident doggy companion We are heartbroken to rehome Ziggy, but with a growing family, we know we won’t be able to safely and consistently manage her— especially around items she finds hard to share. Ziggy is a bright, affectionate girl with a huge personality and so much love to give the right home with confident leadership and time to support her continued progress.
Ziggy comes with everything she needs.
