DOB approx 11/1/25 Heading Dog (Deaf) Fostered Christchurch

Whetu really is a magical star. He is the sweetest boy. It is very easy to settle him and ask him for calm. Really good with children. Loves nothing more to snuggle with little people (their ages are 6 and above). Would be lovely for him to have kind, gentle calm children in his forever home.

Very good with chickens and has lost all curiosity regarding cats (thanks to the very gentle Bella who warned him and Diego who schooled him). He is very social and loves other dogs. He is kind and respectful, loves my dog, he plays with her appropriately and loves being around her.

Whetu has a hand signal for sit, ok/yes, good, also no which he’s pretty good with. He is very food orientated and loves his toys. He would do well in a home with a calm, social adult dog to follow and play with. Will need long line training to learn recall and to check in with his carer often.

Seeking a super dedicated home that can enrich this wee man’s life and can commit to ongoing fun training and provide plenty of companionship. Needs someone home for a good part of the day. We can offer support to whoever adopts him with training techniques for deaf dogs.

Adoption – $350, includes neuter (later, pre-booked & followed up on), vaccinations, chip on NZCAR. Registration.

• Vet check of previous pet care

We do meetings once the adoption process has been successfully completed.
