IMPORTANT MESSAGE
DAPHNE has gone out on trial to see if she fits in with her new family. We will update this listing once we know more.
Daphne, a nine year-old collie/huntaway cross is a retired farm dog recently rescued by Humane Society. She’s a sweet dog with plenty of energy and very good manners. One look from her soulful eyes is enough to melt your heart. Daphne is well behaved, keeps off furniture and beds and prefers a crate or dog bed. She loves a bit of affection from her people but doesn’t need 24/7 companionship – she’s happy with her own company too. She gets on well with other dogs in the home and in her pack, but won’t put up with bullying or over familiarity until she gets to know them. For her age she’s very active; she can be a little stiff at the end of the day but nothing out of the ordinary for her energy and previous occupation. Her idea of exercise is definitely more free-running than walking on-lead around the block although she’s happy with a bit of both.
She has been spayed, vaccinated microchipped and is currently registered so we ask minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs
You will also need to meet him at our foster home in Manurewa as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective owners.
Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.
