Stan's foster writes:

Stan is a very sweet and gentle boy. He can be quite sensitive and shy at first, but he’s also incredibly goofy and loves to “talk.” While he takes a little time to warm up to new people, he slowly builds confidence and will eventually come over to greet you in his own quiet way.

Once he feels safe, Stan’s playful side shines through. He adores tennis balls and ball toys, which he’ll kick around with his paws and toss into the air with delight. He enjoys playing with his foster sister and can often be found napping in a warm, sunny spot.

Stan is still shy when meeting new people, but given time and reassurance, he begins to trust and seek out affection. He plays well with his foster’s doggy visitors and is comfortable around children in calm, quiet environments.

He’s currently learning to sit and is showing just how clever he is. Toilet training is ongoing, but he’s starting to use the dog door to go outside. He sleeps well in his crate at night and is settling into a good routine.

Stan would do best in a quiet home with another friendly dog to keep him company. He has a low to medium energy level and would love to have someone home most of the time. With continued support to build his confidence - and lots of love - Stan has all the potential to thrive and bring happiness to a lucky family.
