Description
4 years old
Austin is a very handsome 4-year-old blue boy with a gentle heart. Sensitive by nature, he will thrive in a calm, quiet home with a confident canine companion and a regular routine to help him feel secure.
He enjoys his walks and getting out and about, but he’s not one for the busy café lifestyle or meeting lots of new people at once. What he truly needs is patience, understanding, and the chance to settle at his own pace.
Austin has been in foster for a while now, learning all about pet life, and he’s doing really well. Once he feels safe, his affectionate side shines through. He’s very clever, quick to learn, and loves working things out — especially when treats are involved! Toilet and crate trained, he’s also fantastic with other dogs (currently living happily with two greyhounds and a small breed dog), but he is not cat trainable.
Austin would do best in an adult home (or with older teens) as younger children are likely to be too unpredictable for him. A secure, well-fenced section is a must for this curious lad. With calm guidance and reassurance, Austin will reward his people with loyalty, affection, and a truly special bond.
He is currently located in Christchurch but his home could be futher affiedl for the right match.
