I am sadly listing Apollo for adoption. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross and around 8 years old.

He is a very affectionate dog. I inherited him a year ago from a friend who could no longer provide him with the best environment as the older dog he was raised with had to be put down and she also got a job which kept her away from home more than Apollo was used to.

I rent, and there was another dog in the house when Apollo arrived. The other dog was aggressive to him resulting him getting anxiety attacks and the two dogs did not get on. In hindsight, it appears that Apollo had not been socialised with other dogs (apart from the older one he used to live with).

Apollo went from me being able to walk him along a beach without a lead, to me now needing to keep him on a lead when we go for a walk as he will pull when he sees other dogs. The vet I took him to has said that he is very trainable and that his relating to other dogs can be sorted.

He obeys commands like sit and wait and lie down, and is very affectionate.

Unfortunately, I need to re-home him as my living arrangements are no longer the best for him, and I would like him to go to a loving home. Please feel free to get in touch with me.
