Introducing Jasper, a real gem and our favorite at JDC - a very smart future companion and adventure buddy, with a fantastic temperament! Jasper was rescued by us together with his litter, and he is our trainer's favorite. He is a very well-balanced puppy, with a great temperament and he will be very easily trained to fit his owner's active lifestyle. We believe he is a Huntaway - border collie, however we will DNA test the litter for breed lineage and share the results with his owner (Orivet genetic test). Jasper is microchipped, had his first vaccinations, had deflea/deworm treatment and an extensive vet check. He is housetrained, has been crated and he is eating together with his pack, is responsive to recall and doesn't have the tendency to wander away from his pack. Jasper did not react to our cats and stock. Due to his breed, he will have a loud bark and this needs to be considered by his future home. He is not, however, an excessive barker (barks only when very excited). Jasper is very keen to bond and make friends, especially with adult K9 males. He loves all people, and he is very affectionate and gentle. He is not an excessive jumper and doesn't nip, which can be a common occurrence with puppies his age. Jasper is very keen to explore his surroundings, smells and textures and will be well adjusted for a lifestyle block or an adventure life with hiking/running/travelling and an owner with lots of attention and love to give. We will be really sorry to see him go, as our trainers already bonded with him, but we are committed to find him the best home possible and a life full of joy. Jasper is doing fantastic for his age, however his owner will need to continue guiding him in terms of obedience and manners, as he matures into his teen years, just like any other puppy. Jasper is in Bay of Plenty; however, we can provide travel NZ wide for an awesome home.
