Ringo is adorable, cute as a button and one of the most heart-wrenching cases we have encountered. When he arrived at JDC earlier this year, he was totally under-socialized and utterly terrified of people. He didn't know how to play, had no understanding of toys, was unable to interact with other dogs, and would cower and defecate in fear when offered food or treats. We estimate Ringo to be only two years old.

Ringo has truly amazed us since, surpassing all expectations. He’s built trust, bonded deeply with his handlers, and now enjoys relaxing, playing, and soaking up human affection. He’s coming out of his shell as a true Velcro dog, showing incredible loyalty once he trusts you, and revealing a joyful, playful puppy side we never knew he had. He now wants to spend all day, every day right by our side.

With a lot of love and care, Ringo is now ready for a dedicated and confident owner who can offer him safety, affection, and support as he builds trust and confidence. Practical experience with reactivity and fear-based behaviors is a must. The owner should remain committed to guiding and supporting Ringo as he develops into his best self, and in return, Ringo will offer an extraordinary amount of love and loyalty. We recommend a single dog household, with no children or small animals as they can be too hectic for Ringo.

He is house-trained, crate-trained, introduced to a muzzle, microchipped, and registered through 2025–2026. He walks nicely on a leash and is still intact, though neutering will be advised later on.
