Among all JDC dogs, Ellie, with her soulful eyes full of untold stories, needs human companionship the most. She craves people's company and longs to be someone's quiet shadow all day, every day. She is very loyal, low-maintenance, sensitive, and gentle.

Ellie was rehomed with great reluctance due to her owner's living situation, through no fault of her own. Her mother was a huntaway cross working on a farm, and her father is unknown. Ellie is a quiet and gentle dog who is not a barker. We are still to hear her bark. She is spayed and has experienced an attack by another dog in her previous owner's care, so we have provided her with a calm space away from the rest of the pack to avoid anxiety. We don't know how easy she is to integrate with our dogs, but we believe Ellie would thrive as an only pet, in a quiet, stable environment, perhaps with elderly owners who can spend most of the day with her.
