I agree totally with the last statement, these guys are both a blessing (they eat algae and uneaten food scraps and their burrowing helps turn over the substrate stopping it going bad), but they can also be a curse as they multiply so quickly. Most of the freshwater puffers like eating them as do most botia (loaches).
