Guinea pigs are easy pets to keep happy they like to spend their days grazing and socialising. They're grazers designed to eat roughage all day long so grass or hay needs to be available to them 24/7. They also need pellets available to them for protein 24/7 while they are babies. They need fresh foods like grass, weeds, and other wild greens, suitable tree branches, or a small amount of fruit every day for vitamin C as they can't make their own like other animals. I go foraging for a range of wild things for them every day and they are kept very healthy this way. Supermarket vegetables are not recommended as they are high in chemicals and water content. Make sure they have a completely dry and sheltered area if kept outdoors. They don't mind a little bit of cold as long as they are kept dry. They don't handle wet environments well as they can get chills and respiratory problems very easily. They're also strictly herd animals so need to be kept in groups of two or more to feel safe and secure.
