Description
A fabulously unusual Sterling Silver topped Art Glass Scent or Perfume Bottle. I have owned this for many years and as yet have never seen another like it.
Interestingly the Sterling Silver mark of "STG SIL" is one that is associated with New Zealand and Australian Silver pieces.
The hand blown glass bottle part is a piece made using the Sommerso technique of blood red glass submerged in crystal clear glass.
The top unscrews to reveal its long dabber... and the modeling and decoration on the silver is wonderfully done and unique.
With its dabber / stopper in place it measures 98mm tall by 48mm wide. There are no cracks or chips.. just a few minute scratches close to the silver mount. ( please see my close up photo).
