This stunning cobalt blue vase features silvery iridescent waves around the body and green tones closer to the base. It is 170mm high by c. 130 mm at its widest point. Interestingly, when you hold it up to the light the silvery waves look red internally. It is signed Höglund Art Glass to the base and even retains its original sticker. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.

Ola Höglund and Marie Simberg – Höglund were both born in Sweden, where the name Höglund was already associated with top quality modernist art glass through the work of Ola's father Erik Höglund. Ola and Marie travelled and worked internationally before settling in New Zealand in the early 1980s. Their work is internationally renowned and sought after by both public and private collectors worldwide. They have exhibited in more than 40 international exhibitions in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai, Indonesia, Taipei and Japan. In 2000 they were invited to produce the art glass for the America's Cup campaign and the Sydney Olympics.
