This Current Designs Pacifica package is ready for adventures and would suit someone new to kayaking.

Designed in Canada and made here for our market it is part of a family ranging from the larger Squall and Storm singles to the Crosswind double, and suits the paddler who wants to nose around in the lakes and harbours but I've set it up so that you'll be safe going further afield. A big bonus is built in thigh braces.

At 4.1m long, 63cm wide it is stable and manoeuvrable and with the rear hatch you can take along the things to enjoy a picnic etc.

The quality of construction and fit out is top notch, using the best quality UV stabilised plastic and marine fittings, and their eye for design is superb.

It is in very good condition (the condition of the rudder is usually a very good indicator of use and owner care) but despite that I have gone over it and refitted and upgraded it with the best quality NEW fittings where necessary-

• 6mm deck bungees with Little Grippa adjusting cleats
• 6mm deck lines
• hatch cover webbing
• neoprene hatch cover by Rasdex
• all bolts in compartment removed and sealed.
• paddle float rescue bungee arrangement fitted behind cockpit
• multiple rescue handles fitted so that if you end up in the water or another paddler wants to hold onto your boat beside you you have comfortable and usable hand holds available
• improved rudder raise lower mechanism to ensure that it can be tensioned in its down position but flip up to protect it if it encounters an obstruction
• checked watertight
