Blokart sailing is an exciting and satisfying sport for all ages and sailing abilities. It is environmentally friendly, with no noise other than the wind rushing by, and no harmful fumes.

The Canterbury Blokart Club Inc. meets at the Air Force Museum of NZ (former Royal NZ Air Force Base Wigram) most Sundays.

Join Club members from about 11.40 a.m. and enjoy the thrill of sailing on land. Only a light wind is required to get moving and a Club member will be on hand to help you achieve this, safely and confidently.

Use your gift voucher to enjoy a 45 minute blokart sailing experience. The voucher does not have an expiry date. All safety gear, gloves and helmets, is supplied. Please note, enclosed footwear is required (no sandals or jandals), and if you have long hair, that you can tie it back and contain it within clothing.

The voucher can be shared by more than one person during the 45 minute period. It is up to you as to how you use the time. The voucher can be redeemed most Sundays subject to weather conditions and ‘kart availability. You will need to book a Sunday in advance with the Club Secretary.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 are generally required to sail in a tandem ‘kart with another suitably experienced person. This allows young children (and others wanting to build their confidence) the opportunity to “have a go” with someone else in control. Or, take control, and sail with an experienced Club member next to them. Children over the age of 12 can sail solo subject to a number of factors including weather conditions, sailing experience and confidence. The decision on allowing any person to sail is at the discretion of the Officer of the Day, and is made on the day and in the best interests of the person, Club members and any other people present.

When payment is received in our bank account, we will email you the voucher, personalised with the recipient's name.
