We only accept payments through Ping.

Ping allows you to pay instantly for your purchases by credit or debit card or bank deposit on Trade Me.

We are not able to accept Kathmandu Store Credits, Gift Cards and/or eVouchers as a method of payment on Trade Me.

We now also accept payments using Afterpay.

Shipping Cost

If you spend $100.00 or more on a Kathmandu product, we’ll deliver this product to you for FREE! Under this and your delivery will be charged at $5.00. This is for all nationwide deliveries to your home or business address or post office box.

Shipping Method

We use Courier Post and PBT Couriers to deliver orders. When we dispatch your item to you, an email confirmation will be sent. If possible the item will be left in a secure location at the address specified.

Shipping Times

Most orders are dispatched on the next working day. We deliver via a tracked courier service - once your order is dispatched you will receive an email with a link to track the status of your order with our delivery partner.

Standard NZ delivery is 2 business days to major cities, with additional time for rural deliveries.

Restrictions

Kathmandu’s Trade Me store offers delivery within New Zealand only. We do not currently ship to international Armed Forces or Freight Forwarders.

Packages do not ship from our Distribution Centre in Christchurch on the following holidays:

• Queen’s Birthday

• Canterbury Anniversary
• Christmas Day

Please allow additional delivery times of up to 5 business days, if your order is placed within two days of the above public holidays.

Please note that orders placed after 12.00pm on a Friday may not be dispatched until the following Monday. Weekends and all Public holidays are not classed as a business day. All orders will be processed on the first available business day.

Returns

Kathmandu is proud to offer quality outdoor gear for travel and adventure that is built to last. We believe you will be fully satisfied with your Kathmandu product.

Change of Mind Returns Policy

Any rights you have under this policy in relation to your Kathmandu product are additional to any rights you may have under consumer laws.

If you change your mind about your online purchase, we are happy to offer a full refund to the value of the purchased goods. This applies to full price, sale and clearance items but excludes goods sold as “seconds”.

You cannot return a Trade Me purchase to a Kathmandu store. Goods purchased online must be returned in unused condition, in original packaging (with tags attached) with proof of purchase within 60 days of the purchase date. You will need to return the product to us by post.

Returns Process

Fill out the bottom section of your packing slip, indicating reason for return as specified in the form.

For your security and protection, please DO NOT include your credit card details on this form or in any correspondence.

We will provide a refund for a product purchased online in the same form as your original payment. Please allow 14 days for us to receive and process your refund. Processing times may take longer during sale periods. We do not cover the cost of delivery back to our warehouse. We will not refund the original delivery charges for a change-of-mind return. It is your responsibility to return the item to us in a safe way. We are not responsible for items being returned to us which are lost or damaged in transit.

That’s why we have put together the answers to the most frequently asked questions our customers have, so that you can continue to shop confidently with Kathmandu on Trade Me. Pricing

I have previously seen and/or purchased an item at a lower price, can you honour this? We regularly hold sales, promotions or clearance events for different seasons and product range changes, therefore prices can, and will change from time to time. We are not obligated to honour previous prices; only those published at the time of purchase apply.

Payment

We only accept payments through Ping and Afterpay.

Shipping

How much does delivery cost? If you spend $100.00 or more on a Kathmandu product, we’ll deliver this product to you for FREE! Under this and your delivery will be charged at $5.00.

Can I pay for overnight or express deliveries? Unfortunately not, at this current time we only have one freight option available.

How will my order be delivered? Your order will be delivered to your door by Courier Post or PBT Couriers; this can be a residential or business address.

How long will my order take? If you are in a residential area please allow 2 – 7 business days for your order to be processed and delivered to you. For rural areas, and during busy sale periods, please allow a further 1 – 2 business days.

Do you offer international shipping? Kathmandu’s Trade Me store currently doesn’t offer international shipping. We only deliver to addresses within New Zealand.

My item arrived damaged - what should I do? If you have received a faulty or damaged item please call 0800 001 234 to discuss the issue and work out an appropriate solution.

I received the wrong product - what should I do? Please call 0800 001 234 and explain that you have received an incorrect item. Our team will work with you to discuss the issue and come to an appropriate solution.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a Trade Me purchase to a Kathmandu store? No, unfortunately you can't. If you want to return an item purchased on Trade Me, please post it back at the Online Returns address further below.

How do I get the order back to you? Returns can be sent from your nearest Post Office. To ensure that the item arrives in original condition, it is important that the packaging used is robust enough to protect the item. For all returns that relate to a “Change of Mind” postage must be paid by the returnee and will not be refunded. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage and retain this to enable you to track your return.

Will you refund my delivery charge if I change my mind? We’ll refund you what you paid for your product(s) but not the delivery charge, unless the order was faulty or incorrect.

Summit Club

I am a Summit Club member; can I use my membership to shop with Kathmandu on Trade Me? Unfortunately, Kathmandu’s Trade Me store is separate from our Online Shop and Store network. As such, your Summit Club membership is not valid for orders from Kathmandu’s Trade Me store.

Kathmandu eVouchers & Gift Cards

I have a Kathmandu Store Credit, Voucher or Gift Card – can I use it to shop with Kathmandu on Trade Me? Kathmandu Store Credits, Gift Cards and eVouchers cannot be redeemed when shopping on Kathmandu’s Trade Me store.
