Two versions of Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y9, considered by many collectors to be Lesney's greatest model. The Y9 Fowler "Big Lion" was produced in 1958 and 1965. The two models are in very good condition considering they are now genuine vintage models.

One model has a cream roof and was packaged in a "C" box with the line drawing. The box is also in very good condition. I believe it's the 1958 production and considered rare (and almost as old as me!!).

The other model has a white roof, and was packaged in a "D1" box. The model has a few minor chips, and the gold upright struts at the back appear to have been glued on. The "D1" box is a bit battered, but it's all there. I think it's from the 1965 production and considered difficult to find.

The scale of the models is 1:80.
