Wooden Bolt teaching aid or man cave curio. I made this Bolt in 1986 as a teaching aid when teaching technical drawing. It was a real challenge to make and a work of art when finished. It has had many years of use in the classroom and as an ornament in the man cave. The shank is made of Jarrah and is a little over 110mm Dia. The head and nut are made from MDF with a Jarrah veneer. The nut is 2 pieces to allow you to look inside. As you can see one locating dowel is broken. That is more of a good thing as it shows which way around to locate it. The pitch is around 24mm. It's the sort of novelty item that boys and men just want to play with.
