Adding to my portfolio of the best value on Trademe Radio control rs, ESCs, Servos, & Switches especially for Meccano & robotic enthusiasts, this is a PWM speed controller for use on brushed DC motors but WITHOUT a radio control system.

If you run your model directly from a DC source such as a battery or plug pack then this low cost device is just want you want for speed control. Turn the knob to provide a speed control from about 5% to around 99% of the rated speed. If you need need reversing, check my listing for a similar model with an ON - OFF - REVERSE rocker switch, I can also supply a low cost 6 or 12v mains power supply if desired.

This uses pulse width modulation PWM technology similar to ESCs on radio control systems.

THIS MEANS THAT UNLIKE OLDER CONTROLLERS THAT VARY THE VOLTAGE THIS UNIT GIVES CONSTANT TORQUE ACROSS THE TOTAL SPEED CONTROL

Take for example the 100 rpm 6V motor I sell. Reducing the voltage down to 2 volts drops the speed down to about 30 rpm but at that speed it has no power & is close to stall. With this device & a 6V supply you can change the speed from about 5 to about 100 rpm with negligible change in torque across the range,

Operates 6 to 28V Also works as a LED Dimmer

These work on any DC motor up to about 3A equivalent DC Current. Check my range of Very High efficiency Meccano or robotic motors to match that these are ideal for.
